Your private wine tour and tasting in the Medoc will take you down “the Castle Route” (la Route des Châteaux) that runs through the appellation’s 61 legendary classified growth wineries (Grand Cru Classé since 1855). Prestige and history lovers are spoilt for choice here.
But you needn’t go for prestige chateaux only. Some of the smaller estates are extremely interesting to visit, their wines are good value for money, and you’re received more like a friend, with a different level of passion. It’s really fascinating to compare the two!
