The left bank Medoc appellation produces red wines exclusively. We are talking majority Cabernet Sauvignon blends with exceptional ageing potential. The Route of the Chateaux runs through the 60 legendary Grand Cru Classé Chateaux (Great Classified Growth since 1855). Prestige and history lovers are spoilt for choice here.
But you needn’t go for prestige chateaux only. Some of the smaller estates are extremely interesting to visit, their wines are good value for money and you’re received more like a friend, with a different level of passion. It’s fascinating to compare the two!
Throughout the day, you will be introduced to the otherwise tightly-knit world of wine in Bordeaux. You can simply lean back and enjoy the beautiful scenery, the enchanting architecture, learn about the secrets behind the terroirs and winemaking in chateaux that I have carefully pre-selected. And, of course, you can ask me questions… all day long.
